Brave Browser's ads rewards program is now live, allowing users to voluntarily view ads and earn 70 percent of revenues generated in the form of Basic Attention Token.

On Mar. 8th, Brave announced that its private advertising platform advanced from phase one to phase two, making the Brave Ads feature available to general users.

Now, at the close of the Brave Rewards monthly cycle, users can claim BAT accumulated from viewing ads.

As of Mar. 8th users can earn token rewards.

Brave Browser has continued to make progress towards its vision of providing a fast and private web browsing experience, especially with its innovations in the ad space.

By the end of phase one over 450 ads had been trafficked and 53 campaign commitments were made and processed by the Brave Ads server.

BuySellAds was reportedly the first ad partner to leverage Brave Ads' API, providing ad revenue from Slack, PaperTrail, and other technology brands.

According to StatCounter's November 2018 data, browser use across all platforms is 62 percent Google Chrome, 15 percent Safari, and 5 percent Firefox.

These figures leave Brave with little space to compete unless they can provide compelling reasons for users to switch, such as innovative new features or an intuitive user experience.

Brave seems to be making progress towards both.
